Our vision is to sustain a creative environment that inspires lifelong learning and prepares children to become productive, healthy members of our community.
Our most important goal is to help children become enthusiastic learners. We encourage active and creative exploration of the world to help foster independence, self-confidence and curiosity.
We're teaching them how to learn--not just for their early years, but all through their lives. We allow them to learn at their own pace and in ways that are best for their unique strengths.
Our teachers, staff and families work together to create a community focused on learning and healthy living. Giving each child a start in good habits and attitudes, particularly a positive sense of themselves, will make a difference throughout their life.
Our History
Kid Zone Early Learning Center was established in 1989 as a nonprofit organization--setting the foundation for the strong parental involvement that is a part of the Kid Zone culture.
We are overseen by a Board of Directors that is made up of parents of current and alumni children. Kid Zone’s original location was within the Union Congregational Church in St. Louis Park.
In January 2022 Kid Zone moved to our current location in the Hopkins community.
Food & Nutrition
We take special pride in our meals at Kid Zone. We see nutrition as a key element of our curriculum.
We use organic fresh foods and milk, a varied menu and field trips to introduce new and healthy eating options
Children are able to see, taste and smell food in its natural form and understand first-hand how a tiny seed is transformed into delicious meals. We serve all our food with BPA-free dishes and utensils.
Meal Time
We serve breakfast, lunch and a snack each day, all made by our chef in our on-site kitchen. Infants enjoy purees made just for them at each meal. Using the freshest ingredients possible, we provide balanced meals with an emphasis on helping children establish lifelong habits of enjoying healthy foods and making healthy food choices.

Tuition
Our rates are calculated weekly by days of attendance per week, and vary by age groups.

* Extra days must be approved in advance by the Kid Zone Office to ensure adequate classroom staff to child ratios. If you reserve an extra day or half day, you are obligated to pay for that time if your child does not attend.

2 children enrolled - 10% off tuition for oldest child
3 children enrolled - 20% off tuition for oldest child

Plant Sale | Every spring, we host a plant sale featuring Gerten’s flowers and plants. Delivered right before Mother’s Day, the flowers and plants are a great way to start off spring!
